Gregory McElroy & Julia Ruth

 Gregory McElroy and Julia Ruth hail from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and perform Cyr Wheel as a duo.

Originally from the southwest United States, Gregory McElroy is an acrobat specializing in solo and duo Chinese Pole, Roue Cyr, and Cube spinning. He first began his athletic endeavors as a child in many sports but was very focused on martial arts, where he competed nationally. As an adult, he has toured the globe performing with many cirque companies and shows, a few of which include Cirque du Soleil, Zippos Circus, Circus Couture, Cirque Mechanics, Cirque Le Noir, Helena Fischer. In Las Vegas, he has performed for shows on the strip, including David Goldrake’s Imaginarium and Aerosmith, Deuces are Wild.

Julia Ruth first entered the world of performance when she began college. A physics major and athlete, Julia was attracted to her school’s gymnastic and acrobatic performance-based student organization. After graduation, Julia sought opportunities to continue her passion for performance and moved to San Diego to train and coach at the San Diego Circus Center. Julia specializes in solo and duo Cyr Wheel, Hand-to-Hand, Spanish Web, and Stilts. Julia’s most notable performances include Sydney Royal Easter Show, San Diego International Fringe Festival, ATLAS Intersections Festival, New York Knicks’ Halftime Show, San Diego Zoo, Electric Daisy Carnival, and the Washington D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival.
